What you would do:

Alexander Youth Network is seeking experienced Behavioral Health Counselors II professionals for their brand new, state-of-the-art Facility Based Crisis program  in Guilford County opening Spring of 2021. We are looking for passionate, skilled, and dedicated direct care staff to become part of our diverse team and provide day-to-day opportunities which support and guide individuals in achieving personal goals for maximum living. Full time 1st, 2nd, 3rd and weekend shifts available.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Provides quality services in accordance with NMT model and agency policies
  • Completes documentation timely and accurately
  • Participates and monitors all tasks of the individual academic plan for assigned clients
  • Maintains neat work area
  • Participates in clinical staff meetings
  • Adheres to TCI protocols for restrictive interventions (RIs)
  • Has minimal occurrences of unscheduled absences or lateness

The Facility-Based Crisis program is a 16 bed inpatient service for children and adolescents that provides an alternative to hospitalization for youth presenting with escalated behavior due to a mental health, intellectual or development disability or substance use disorder who require treatment in a 24-hour residential facility.  Facility-Based Crisis is an intensive short term, medically supervised service provided in a physically secure setting.  It is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year, with an expected length of stay of five to seven days. 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma is required. Candidates with one year of experience working in a crisis/acute care setting are strongly encouraged to apply. Four years of experience in mental health and behavioral health care preferred.  B.A. /B.S. in a related human service field preferred. Valid NC driver's license.
