What you would do:

Under the direction of VP of HR, the HR Assistant is chiefly responsible for all HR administrated related tasks including pre-hire screening and onboarding of new hires, conducting payroll processing activities, coordinates administration of all office activities and equipment maintenance and provides support to VP of Human Resources. As the first point of contact for all HR related inquiries and requests, the HR Assistant must have excellent customer service and organizational skills.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for all pre-hire screenings and setup for new hires. This includes, but is not limited to : EHR setup, e3 data entry, diana screenings, initial credential verification, background checks, health screening results (as needed), fingerprint requests, drug screenings and employee badges
  • Work with the Training Department to coordinate monthly and off-cycle orientations 
  • Maintains employee personnel files ensuring content is filed current and organized
  • Conducts all timesheet and payroll processing activities for bi-weekly payroll
  • Generates reports on recurring or as-needed basis
  • Manage check request process for all pre-employment vendors
  • Completes requests for employment verification
  • Under the direction of VP of HR, responds to all initial unemployment claims, coordinates and participates in hearing; scans all correspondence into UI file
  • Coordinates and ensures completion of random drug screenings
  • Ensures a safe and confidential environment of all HR related records
