Licensed Clinician - Outpatient Services - Charlotte, NC

Interested in an opportunity with a leading Mental Health organization in North Carolina?  Alexander Youth Network is looking for an experienced licensed clinician for an opportunity in our Charlotte Outpatient Services (OPS) office. Must have valid NC LCSW, LPC, or LMFT. 


Provides psychiatric assistance to behaviorally or emotionally disturbed clients of agency's treatment programs, and to their families, collaborating with psychiatric and treatment review team in diagnosis and treatment planning; interprets clinical information to pertinent team members; demonstrates understanding of systems theory; cultural diversity, self-determination and self-awareness issues; applies knowledge of child growth and development.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES. Others duties may be assigned.

  • Complete targeted direct service hours
  • All documentation including progress notes are completed accurately and in a timely manner
  • Maintain active service plan on each client 
  • Engages client effectively managing no-show rate
  • Accurately maintains client Electronic Health Record
  • Complete all mandated training
  • Maintain schedule in CDT 90 days in advance
  • Provide regular and consistent therapy
  • Actively manage case load

QUALIFICATIONS  To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. LCSW, LPC, and two or more years related experience in behavioral healthcare. 

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications


Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common professional journals.  Ability to respond to sensitive inquiries or complaints from clients and families, and outside treatment providers, and members of the community.  Ability to write articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format.  Ability to effectively present information to management and public groups.


Familiarity with mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis.


Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to deal with several abstract and concrete variables


LCSW, LPC, or LMFT.  Maintains and secures certification, licenses, and registrations required to complete job responsibilities. Therapeutic Crisis Intervention training provided; valid N.C. or S.C. driver's license
