Performance Improvement Manager - Charlotte, NC

Interested in a leadership opportunity for a leading non-profit in Charlotte NC ?  Alexander Youth Network is looking for an experienced individual to manage our Performance Improvement Team. Qualified applicants should have a minimum of a Bachelor's degree with experience in mental health Quality Improvement required; Masters degree in Human Services preferred. Travel is required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Manages compliance and monitoring activities, including coordination of audits, endorsements, and monitoring reviews
  • Manages performance improvement and compliance personnel through supervision, coaching, and skill development
  • Leads performance improvement projects, including work groups, process or project teams, root cause analysis, and failure modes and effects analysis
  • Serve as main Performance Improvement liaison for new agency ventures
  • Leads quality review tracers as assigned
  • Assists with routine incident review and response processes, including consultation with program staff
  • Represents the organization as assigned at local and regional provider meetings
  • Communicates performance improvement principles, concepts, and policies through tracer activities and other types of auditing functions
  • Develops compliance bulletins, memos, articles, and training materials. Conducts training sessions and facilitates meetings.
  • Maintains relationships with staff by providing guidance and advice through collaboration, cooperation, and communication.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Supervises assigned staff.  Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.  Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor's degree with experience in mental health Quality Improvement required; Masters degree in Human Services preferred

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Qualified candidates will possess a minimum of a Bachelor's degree.  He or she must possess intermediate to advanced computer skills in Microsoft Word and Excel, PowerPoint, and be able to efficiently navigate the Internet.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from employees, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.  Ability to effectively present information to top management and public groups.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
