Program Manager- Day Treatment - Lexington, NC

Interested in a leadership opportunity with a leading Mental Health organization in Davidson County?  Alexander Youth Network is looking for a Qualified Professional to lead as Program Manager at our new Davidson Day Treatment. The program will serve middle school-aged children.

Qualified applicants should meet the state requirements for a Qualified Mental Health Professional in NC. QMHP can be reached in the following ways: A Bachelors degree in a human services related field plus two years experience providing mental health services to children/adolescents; Masters degree in a human services related field plus one year experience providing mental health services to children/adolescents; Bachelors degree in a non- human services related field plus experience providing mental health services to children/adolescents; or an applicable licensure, i.e. LCSWA, LPCA, LMFTA, LCSW, LPC, LMFT

SUMMARY

Supports and implements the directives and priorities set forth by the Executive Director and the Senior Management Team.  Ensures employees perform treatment and operations in a way that is consistent with the goals and directives of the Director as well as established agency policies and individual person-centered plans. Represents the agency leadership in a manner that provides for congruence across all hours of operation; direct, coordinate, and evaluate all aspects of program as provided through staff activity-based interventions; participates in developing and implementing services. Prepares daily schedules and coordinates activities to ensure required ratios, clinical model of care, and quality of service. Ensures that Person Centered Plans are developed, appropriate and implemented; all admissions and discharges are coordinated with external professionals and community resources. Follows up restraints or seclusions with a debriefing with staff involved; completes supervision log and debriefing forms.  Ensures that a supervisor is available at all times between 8:00 am and 6:00 pm, and "first responder" coverage is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Responsible for the management and continued development of the program
  • Provides feedback and coaching to staff
  • Provides scheduled supervision to all staff
  •  Ensures the Neurosequential Model is implemented consistently by all program staff through modeling, observation and supervision
  • Ensures that the program facility is neat and orderly at all times; infection-control policies are followed
  • Monitors clinical quality of staff documentation
  • On budget  with census 90% over the course of the fiscal year
  • 100% attendance at regular management team meetings
  • Maintains positive relationship with all stakeholders, especially local school system
  • Completes all mandated training

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Supervise program staff as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Program manager will meet requirements specified for a Qualified Professional (QP) and have minimum of 2 years experience in child/adolescent MH/ SA treatment services.

Proficiency in MS Office applications.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret professional journals,  governmental regulations, or legal documentation.  Ability to write reports and business correspondence to a prescribed format and style.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of children, top managers, clients and families, volunteers, and the general public.
