What you would do:
Alexander Youth Network is seeking Registered Nurses for their brand new, state-of-the-art Facility Based Crisis program in Guilford County opening Spring of 2021. We are looking for passionate, skilled, and dedicated Nursing staff to become part of our diverse team and provide day-to-day opportunities which support and guide individuals in achieving personal goals for maximum living. Full time, 12 hour shifts; Day and Evening schedules available.
The RN staff will monitor the milieu and all restrictive interventions to ensure the safety and welfare of FBC clients. They will manage medication, medical treatments, observe clients for any health status changes, coordinate emergent care and transport, and collaborates with the team to ensure each client's essential well-child healthcare needs are met during their placement in the FBC. The RN explains procedures and treatments to clients to gain cooperation, understanding, and allay apprehension through awareness of comfort and safety needs of client. Must demonstrates punctuality, dependability and on-call availability to work additional shifts as needed.
The Facility-Based Crisis program is a 16 bed inpatient service for children and adolescents that provides an alternative to hospitalization for youth presenting with escalated behavior due to a mental health, intellectual or development disability or substance use disorder who require treatment in a 24-hour residential facility. Facility-Based Crisis is an intensive short term, medically supervised service provided in a physically secure setting. It is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year, with an expected length of stay of five to seven days.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Valid and current RN, NC licensure. Must meet Qualified Professional status with at least four years experience with the population served plus One year crisis experience. Proficiency in MS Office applications
