This is a PRN (as needed) position. The Youth Focus' My Sister Susan's House program provides housing and transitional living services for pregnant and parenting youth ages 16-21 for up to 18 months. The program coach provides support to youth in a residential setting, helping them learn independent living skills. The program coach is responsible for assisting clients with goal setting, providing case management, facilitating groups, supervising outings, providing transportation, and providing overall support in a therapeutic environment.
This position would be good for someone interested in social work, human development, child development, coaching, psychology, non-profit, direct care, mentoring, counseling, human services, sociology, criminal justice, juvenile criminal prevention services, homelessness, housing, LGBTQ issues, teen pregnancy, marginalized and underserved populations, mental health and runaway and homeless youth. This role could lead to advancement within the agency.
My Sister Susan's House offers housing and transitional living services for pregnant and parenting youth ages 16-21. Youth are provided with a variety of services: counseling, vocational and educational training, parenting classes, independent living skills training, and other supports. These youth, and their dependent children, live at My Sister Susan's House for up to 18 months with all of their living expenses taken care of while they pursue goals that will allow them to live successfully on their own and provide the nurture and support their children need.
