What you would do:

Alexander Youth Network, compassionate and caring Behavioral Health Counselors to provide direct care to clients in a group home setting. 

The emergency group home facility is primarily intended to serve the needs of youth who are in the custody of local Departments of Social Services (DSS) who are experiencing behavioral health issues that have resulted in the loss of a placement with the foster care system or the behavioral health system and do not require an inpatient level of care. 

The ideal candidate provides, coordinates, and monitors a variety of direct care activities for clients in an emergency group home setting in accordance with the NMT model ensures consistent and appropriate education activities, therapeutic activities, clinical interventions, and staffing and treatment planning.  Under the supervision of the program manager, staff will monitor the individualized academic plan for clients. Ensures a clean and safe environment for clients; ensures residential facilities of clients are clean, safe and maintained. Offers appropriate intervention services; facilitates individual, group and family conferences.


  • Completes documentation timely and accurately
  • Participates and monitors all tasks of the individual academic plan for assigned clients
  • Provides quality services in accordance with NMT model and agency policies
  • Maintains neat work area
  • Participates in clinical staff meetings
  • Adheres to TCI protocols for restrictive interventions (RIs)


High school diploma is required.  B.A. /B.S. in a related human service field preferred. Experience in an academic setting strongly preferred. Four years Mental Health experience is preferred.


N.C. Driver's license required
