Program Manager - North Shelby - PASS

Summary of Role:

Supports and implements the directives and priorities set forth by the Regional Director and the Senior Management Team.  Ensures staff perform treatment and operations in a way that is consistent with the goals and directives of the Regional Director as well as established agency policies and individual person centered plans.  Represents the agency leadership, in a manner that provides for congruence across all hours of operation.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Direct, coordinate, and evaluate all aspects of program as provided through staff activity-based interventions.

  • Participate in developing and implementing services.

  • Prepares daily schedules and coordinates activities to ensure required ratios, clinical model of care, and quality of service.

  • Ensure that a supervisor is available at all times between 8:00 am and 6:00 pm, and "first responder" coverage is available 24 hrs a day, 365 days a year.

  • Ensure the Neurosequential Model is implemented consistently by all program staff through modeling, observation and supervision.

  • Ensure that Person Centered Plans are developed, appropriate and carried out.

  • Ensures that case management duties are performed by staff.

  • Ensure that all admissions and discharges are coordinated with external professionals and community resources.

  • Provides leadership and supervision for all program staff by directing staff expectations, resolving grievances and acting as a mentor.

  • Assist staff in analyzing problems and in improving delivery of service through individual and group supervision.

  • Follow up each restraint/seclusion with a debriefing with staff involved.  Complete supervision log and debriefing forms.

  • Collect and approve documentation of treatment.

  • Complete required documentation.

  • Coordinate procedures and processes with other supervisor(s) and program components.

  • Attend all team meetings and management meetings.

  • Greet and direct families, volunteers, and other visitors.

  • Ensures all program performance measures are met, developing and implementing corrective action plans as necessary.

  • Represent the Agency in community or interagency activities.

  • Ensure program policies and procedures are carried out consistently.

  • Follow all safety, health, and infection control policies.

  • Ensure that the program area is neat and orderly at all times.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Supervise program staff as assigned. 

Perform management responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.  Responsibilities include:

  • training employees;

  • Planning, assigning, and directing work;

  • Appraising performance of direct reports;

  • Rewarding and disciplining employees;

  • Addressing complaints and resolving problems,

  • Case management and treatment planning.

Qualifications: Program manager will meet requirements specified for a Qualified Professional (QP) and have minimum of 2 years experience in child/adolescent MH/ SA treatment services.
