Recruiting and Licensing Specialist - Greensboro, NC

Responsible for developing the overall recruiting and training strategy to ensure a consistent inflow of highly qualified foster care parents.

Develops, implements and conducts various recruitment activities such as handling of prospective parent telephone calls, mailings regarding program and foster parent expectations, invitations to training etc.

Responsible for all initial licensing procedures, including home studies, criminal background checks, sex offender registry checks, Health Care Registry checks, Department of Corrections back ground checks, completion of all inspections and submissions and tracking with state licensing agency.

Responsible for ensuring all foster care parents receive required training, including, but not limited to; 30 hours of pre-service training and 12 hours of annual in-service training.

Selects trainers, training materials and coordinates training hours.  Set up locations and coordinates training, Billing for contract venders (FA, CPR, Medication administration), Tracks training for foster parents, Essential Learning data entry for foster parent maintenance.

Keeps abreast of Service Definitions, Federal and State Foster Care rules and regulations to ensure program compliance

Recommends and implements processes to ensure compliance with Federal and State rules.

Responsible for upkeep/file maintenance of all active, transfers and terminated foster parent files.

Create, updates and maintains Foster Care training manuals

Under the direction of program management enters data and prepares reports of key foster care program measures.

Deliver excellent customer service, feedback and follow-up to Foster Care Parents and collaterals

Responsible for initial set up of family binders and required licensure maintenance.

Provides quarterly visits for foster homes not yet assigned to a coordinator/coach; may be assigned foster homes up to 32 homes.

Provides initial licensure visits to ensure home safety to move forward with licensure.

Training/licensure support to coordinators for completion of re-licensure packets

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High School Diploma required. B.A./B.S.Human Service and QMHP preferred; 2-5 years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
